Accept a pending organization invitation using the intended identity and verify effective access.
Best for: New members and administrators onboarding collaborators.
Before you start
Invitations assign an organization role; non-viewer roles may be billable and event access may require team configuration.
- Open the invitation from the intended email account.
- Sign out of unrelated 4All accounts.
- Know the expected organization, role, team, and event access.
Step by step
- Open the newest invitation. Use the latest email after any resend; expired or canceled links cannot be accepted.
- Authenticate the invited identity. Create or sign in to the account whose email exactly matches the invitation.
- Review the organization and role. Confirm both before accepting.
- Accept once. Complete the flow in one tab and wait for the dashboard.
- Select the organization. Use the switcher if you have several memberships.
- Verify access. Check intended organization, team, event, and permitted actions.
- Report a mismatch. Ask an authorized admin to correct access; never borrow another person’s account.
What success looks like: The invitation leaves pending state and the member receives only the intended permissions.
Check your setup
- The organization appears in the switcher.
- The role is correct.
- Assigned events are visible while administrative restrictions remain effective.
Troubleshooting
Invitation invalid
Ask an owner/admin to resend and use the newest email.
Wrong account active
Sign out and reopen the invitation in a private window.
Event missing
Check team membership, active team, event assignment, and role permissions.
Security and operational notes
- Do not forward identity-bound invitations.
- Review billable role impact before inviting.
- Cancel mistyped or unused invitations promptly.
