Enable LL-TTS in Live Setup and prove that every entitlement, publishing, source, and listener prerequisite is ready before the event begins.

Best for: the designated producer preparing target-language audio for BYOD listeners, Signal, or a hybrid audience.

Enable LL-TTS

  1. Open Live Setup.
  2. Open Text to speech.
  3. Turn on Enable TTS.
  4. Choose LL-TTS.
  5. Configure supported target languages and the voice controls shown by the selected provider.

LL-TTS fails closed when a required entitlement or platform prerequisite is missing. Confirm the eligible current plan or entitlement, selected provider and model, event, target-language support, platform credentials, wallet funding, and available input and output audio-token caps.

Prepare the source and publisher

  • Use isolated presenter or program audio as the source.
  • Confirm post-DSP source metering before relying on translation.
  • Use the designated Live Setup producer browser to hold the producer lease.
  • Keep that browser open, awake, connected, and on a stable approved network.
  • Start an active recording session. LL-TTS is not published while recording is paused or merely testing.

Important: the producer browser publishes LL-TTS only while recording is active, the producer lease is held, LL-TTS is enabled, credentials and entitlements are valid, and network access is available.

Confirm demand and listeners

One generation lane is created per demanded event and target language. Audience and Signal consumers of the same event and language share that lane; more receivers do not create more lanes.

  • For BYOD, admit the viewer, select a supported target language, use a user gesture to unlock playback, and use headphones.
  • For Signal, select the authorized event and server-advertised language, start the pipeline, and wait for Streaming.

Verify the preflight

  • Isolated source audio is clean and continuously metered.
  • The producer browser holds the lease and remains awake and connected.
  • Recording is active and LL-TTS is enabled.
  • Entitlement, provider or model, event, language, credentials, wallet, and both audio-token caps pass.
  • A BYOD and/or Signal listener receives the correct language.
  • The approved fallback has been rehearsed.

Troubleshoot

  • No generation: check active recording and producer ownership before changing listener settings.
  • Fail-closed eligibility: restore the missing entitlement, provider or model support, language, credentials, wallet funding, or token cap.
  • Signal waiting for publisher: keep the designated producer browser active and confirm it holds the lease.
  • BYOD silence: admit the viewer, select a supported language, unlock playback with a user gesture, and connect headphones.

Operational boundary

Preflight does not guarantee zero latency, perfect wording, or hardware compatibility. Do not change provider or production topology mid-show without an approved fallback.
