Before you start

Event access and actions depend on organization role, team scope, plan entitlements, limits, and current event state.

  • Use an individual verified account in the correct organization and team.
  • Confirm the event owner, live operator, output owner, and incident authority.
  • Review the current configuration before changing an existing or live event.

Step by step

  1. Assess impact. List viewer links, QR codes, embeds, operators, presets, exports, live state, and desktop integrations.
  2. Stop active production. Do not transfer/delete while live; end dependent outputs and confirm offline.
  3. Edit safe fields. Update identity, schedule, details, or settings with the required permission.
  4. Transfer team deliberately. Confirm destination team, member access, role permissions, and support ownership.
  5. Re-test sharing. Inspect lobby, viewer, embeds, and production destinations after changes.
  6. Prepare deletion. Preserve required exports/logs, revoke external links, stop billing/licensing dependencies, and obtain approval.
  7. Delete exact event. Confirm name/slug/ID in the destructive dialog.
  8. Verify. Refresh lists and confirm intended access/output state.

What success looks like: The event reaches the intended saved or live state, and every required operator can verify the result without receiving unnecessary access.

Check your setup

  • Edits are visible and access is correct, or an approved deletion completes with required records preserved.

Troubleshooting

Cannot edit

Check event update permission, team scope, live lock, and organization context.

Transfer removed operator access

Add the intended team membership/custom role and retest.

Delete blocked

Stop live session/dependencies and confirm delete permission.

Security and operational notes

  • Deletion may be irreversible.
  • Do not rename/transfer as a substitute for access governance.
  • Communicate changes to every linked desktop/output operator.
