Before you start

Availability depends on event access, plan entitlements, destination enablement, language configuration, and supported browser/display/network behavior.

  • Use the correct event and final source/target language configuration.
  • Know the physical or web destination, resolution, audience, privacy level, and monitoring owner.
  • Test the final receiving screen, embed, graphics path, or operator device—not only the setup preview.

Step by step

  1. Measure the final background. Consider venue brightness, video motion, image detail, projector/LED contrast, and color calibration.
  2. Start with high contrast. Use a solid or restrained gradient before decorative assets.
  3. Upload an approved image if needed. Use correct aspect, resolution, compression, focal safe area, and no sensitive metadata.
  4. Configure fade/overlay. Keep text contrast stable across the entire background.
  5. Set text/outline/shadow. Use only enough treatment to separate text without blur.
  6. Test accessibility. Contrast, dyslexia-friendly typography, color independence, motion, and readable focus/controls.
  7. Test final chain. Capture/project/encode the exact output.
  8. Save a fallback style. One action should restore a known high-contrast presentation.

What success looks like: The intended audience or operator receives the correct event, language, styling, and control level with a documented reconnect and fallback path.

Troubleshooting

Image crops badly

Use safe padding/aspect-specific asset and inspect target resolution.

Text disappears over bright area

Increase overlay/solid box or change placement.

Fade causes flashing or distraction

Reduce/disable motion and follow accessibility guidance.

Security and operational notes

  • Do not use brand colors that fail contrast.
  • Do not include private data in images.
  • Validate with affected users where possible.
