Launch each required destination and perform an end-to-end acceptance test.
Best for: Event producers, display operators, accessibility leads, broadcast/AV engineers, web teams, and authorized remote operators.
Before you start
Availability depends on event access, plan entitlements, destination enablement, language configuration, and supported browser/display/network behavior.
- Use the correct event and final source/target language configuration.
- Know the physical or web destination, resolution, audience, privacy level, and monitoring owner.
- Test the final receiving screen, embed, graphics path, or operator device—not only the setup preview.
Step by step
- Create a destination checklist. Name URL/app, language, style, machine, receiver, owner, and backup.
- Open from supported controls. Avoid stale bookmarks when event links/settings changed.
- Confirm event identity. Name/slug/status and intended public/private level.
- Send a known phrase. Include long text, number, speaker change, translation, and clear.
- Check final receiver. Venue screen, OBS program, XPression scene, decoder, ASL viewer, or stream platform.
- Test restart/reconnect. Reload output and recover without exposing desktop.
- Test stop/empty behavior. Confirm stale text does not remain unexpectedly.
- Record acceptance. Time, version, operator, deviations, and redacted evidence.
What success looks like: The intended audience or operator receives the correct event, language, styling, and control level with a documented reconnect and fallback path.
Check your setup
- Every required destination passes identity, freshness, content, styling, reconnect, and stop-state checks.
Troubleshooting
Destination loads but no text
Check event live/source/language/enablement/network.
Old event appears
Regenerate URL/open from current event and clear approved pairing.
Receiver differs
Inspect external scaling, caching, mapping, encode/decode, or scene.
Security and operational notes
- Acceptance evidence must not expose private URLs/credentials.
- Test failover.
- Assign owners.
