Add an optional password or replace an existing one while preserving recovery methods.

Best for: Authenticated users.

Before you start

Password management is account-level; email codes, Google, and passkeys may remain available according to configuration.

  • Sign in through a trusted method.
  • Use an approved password manager.
  • Choose a unique password not reused elsewhere.

Steps

  1. Open Account Settings. Navigate to Password.
  2. Confirm whether you are adding or changing. The interface reflects the current account state.
  3. Enter a strong password. Meet the displayed rules and prefer a long generated value.
  4. Confirm and submit. Re-enter it exactly and save once.
  5. Test safely. Open a private window and verify password sign-in before ending the current session.
  6. Store and recover. Save in the approved manager and retain an independent recovery method.

What success looks like: The new password signs in successfully without changing memberships.

Check your setup

  • Private-window password sign-in succeeds.
  • Alternate approved sign-in remains available.
  • The intended organizations load.

Troubleshooting

Password rejected

Follow displayed policy and remove copied spaces.

Current password unavailable

Use Forgot Password or email-code sign-in, then retry.

Works on one device only

Check email, keyboard layout, stored entry, and official domain.

Security and operational notes

  • Never reuse API keys, provider secrets, license values, or stream keys.
  • Do not paste passwords into support tickets.
  • Revoke sessions after suspected exposure.
