Configure a readable stage theme and recover from pairing, network, sleep, or stale-data problems.
Best for: Event producers, display operators, accessibility leads, broadcast/AV engineers, web teams, and authorized remote operators.
Before you start
Availability depends on event access, plan entitlements, destination enablement, language configuration, and supported browser/display/network behavior.
- Use the correct event and final source/target language configuration.
- Know the physical or web destination, resolution, audience, privacy level, and monitoring owner.
- Test the final receiving screen, embed, graphics path, or operator device—not only the setup preview.
Troubleshooting steps
- Test viewing distance. Use actual stage positions and lighting.
- Set typography/contrast. Use large high-contrast text and minimal decoration.
- Choose only necessary fields. Reduce cognitive load and confidentiality exposure.
- Disable sleep/notifications. Apply kiosk/show policy.
- Test network loss. Observe holding state and reconnect.
- Test browser restart. Follow documented re-pair if state is not retained.
- Check stale data. Compare event live/source and network/WebSocket.
- Maintain fallback. Printed/run-of-show or alternate confidence path.
After the fix: The intended audience or operator receives the correct event, language, styling, and control level with a documented reconnect and fallback path.
Confirm the fix
- Stage information is readable and the stage team can recover without exposing operator desktops.
If the problem continues
Screen blank
Check power/input/browser/pair/event/network.
Stale caption
Check live source and connection before re-pairing.
Theme reset
Reapply approved event/display settings and review storage policy.
Escalation and safety
- Never show private stage content publicly.
- Do not rely on a single wireless path.
- Protect pairing information.
