Add only the target languages required by the event and verify each from source segment to final viewer.
Best for: Multilingual producers, caption operators, accessibility leads, event administrators, and authorized language reviewers.
Before you start
Translation, target-language count, glossaries, and text-to-speech depend on event permissions, provider/model/language support, plan entitlements, usage allowances or wallet, and eligible BYOK configuration.
- Confirm source language and provider quality first.
- List approved target locales, terminology, voice requirements, and human review responsibilities.
- Test with representative content before distributing viewer links.
Step by step

- Open Translation. Confirm event and stable source language.
- Choose provider/model. Match target coverage, latency, terminology, BYOK/funding, and policy.
- Add target languages. Use exact locales and stay within the plan/event limit.
- Order and default languages. Make lobby/viewer labels clear and choose a safe default.
- Configure source-final behavior. Understand whether partial/stabilized/final segments trigger translation.
- Apply glossary/domain settings. Test high-value names and protected wording.
- Run known-phrase tests. Use numbers, dates, names, idioms, long sentences, and corrections.
- Inspect every surface. Viewer, Program, Extended, embeds, TTS, exports, and desktop outputs as applicable.
- Monitor usage. Estimate source minutes/target characters and wallet/allowance.
What success looks like: The configured language service produces the intended accessible output with known quality, latency, usage, and recovery behavior.
Check your setup
- Every enabled target displays fresh text in the intended locale and operators can identify its provider, cost path, and fallback.
Troubleshooting
Language unavailable
Check provider/model, plan language cap, and locale support.
Target stays stale
Check source finals, provider health, credentials/funding, network, and selected viewer language.
Wrong locale
Remove the incorrect target and add the exact regional locale after approval.
Security and operational notes
- Machine translation requires human oversight.
- Do not add unmonitored languages merely because they are selectable.
- State limitations for high-stakes content.
