Use the event workspace efficiently without losing context or making accidental live changes.
Best for: Organization administrators, event producers, live operators, and authorized support staff.
Before you start
Event access and actions depend on organization role, team scope, plan entitlements, limits, and current event state.
- Use an individual verified account in the correct organization and team.
- Confirm the event owner, live operator, output owner, and incident authority.
- Review the current configuration before changing an existing or live event.
Step by step
- Confirm header context. Read organization, event, status, current operator, and live ownership.
- Use the setup sidebar. Open Input & Routing, Transcription, Translation, Caption tuning, Public Program Display, ASL, Outputs & destinations, Check & status, Audit & Logs, or Glossaries.
- Understand autosave. Wait for saved/confirmation state before leaving or closing.
- Use preview. Inspect captions and output state without confusing preview with final downstream proof.
- Use fullscreen/new-window actions. Open the intended destination and label operator windows.
- Review status and statistics. Watch relevant metrics without navigating away from critical controls.
- Coordinate concurrent editors. Use presence/audit and communicate material changes.
- Exit safely. When live, follow Stop/handoff policy; when offline, confirm saves before closing.
What success looks like: The event reaches the intended saved or live state, and every required operator can verify the result without receiving unnecessary access.
Check your setup
- Operators can locate each control, distinguish saved configuration from runtime state, and keep event/ownership context visible.
Troubleshooting
Unsaved indicator persists
Check network/session, permission, validation error, and retry the single field.
Wrong section changed
Use audit/config review and restore the approved value.
Preview correct but final wrong
Inspect the actual destination/signal chain.
Security and operational notes
- Avoid unrelated configuration work while live.
- Do not expose operator screens publicly.
- Keep only necessary privileged tabs open.
