Prepare platform-funded or BYOK provider access and avoid live failures caused by funding, quota, IAM, or region.

Best for: Live producers, caption operators, audio engineers, broadcast engineers, and authorized event administrators.

Before you start

Audio, speech providers, multi-speaker features, and usage are governed by event permissions, plan entitlements, provider support, credentials or wallet, and browser/device compatibility.

  • Use the production event and supported browser/device.
  • Know the source language, speaker plan, latency target, output requirements, and fallback.
  • Test with representative voices, noise, pace, and the actual signal chain.

Step by step

  1. Choose funding model. Use platform provider access under plan/wallet or enterprise BYOK as approved.
  2. Check entitlements. Confirm provider/model/language and usage allowance.
  3. Check wallet/overage. Ensure balance, auto top-up, payment method, and limits cover rehearsal plus event.
  4. For BYOK, validate credentials. Use dedicated least-privilege keys/service accounts.
  5. Match region/project. Provider resource location and model availability must align with event settings.
  6. Check quota/billing. Review provider quota and customer cloud billing.
  7. Run preflight and load test. Use the production schedule and concurrency.
  8. Monitor during event. Watch health/usage and keep fallback ready.

What success looks like: The configured audio and recognition path produces stable, attributable captions within the approved latency/quality target and has a tested recovery path.

Check your setup

  • Provider starts reliably in the intended region and funding/quota covers the planned duration/concurrency.

Troubleshooting

Authentication failure

Validate key/service account, encryption config, IAM, project, and API.

Quota exceeded

Raise approved quota, reduce concurrency, or switch fallback.

Wallet low

Fund/top up or use approved BYOK before Live.

Security and operational notes

  • Never expose provider credentials.
  • Do not rely on unverified auto top-up.
  • Regions can have data-residency implications.
